WFR returns with fresh updates and alpha back in focus
Weapons Factory: Roblox development went on pause for personal reasons, and if you're still keeping an eye on this passion project, I want to say thank you for your patience. Sometimes life and work can side-step progress - but the passion never left.
Now? I’m back in. Fully committed.
Pushing hard toward the long-awaited alpha release.
Let's Rocket Jump right in.
Respawn on Death

After you are fragged the screen fades red and team stats show up.
A short cooldown timer will appear. After the timer is done, you'll be able to respawn.
Future Polish includes:
When fragging a player, show details:
Player1 fragged Player2 with a Rocket Launcher
Player2 made Player1 go boom
Player1 vaporized Player2 with a rocket
Fade in/ Fade out
Option to go to menu's?
Option to spectate your team while fragged?
Team & Player Stats and Score HUD
Score at the top, with notifications. (Configurable to turn off)
Press TAB to check team stats with Frags, Caps, And Total Score.
Point System follows traditional quake 2 weapons factory.
1 point per frag
-1 point per respawn
15 points per flag capture
Real-time updates when shown.
Stats are also shown on death
Provides a sense of team momentum and personal progress
Future Polish Includes:
Icon to show active flag carrier on team stats
HUD Notifications for Player has the flag, Player Capped the Flag near score at the top.
Fade in / Fade out
Saved player data for lobby reveal of Leaderboards
K/D Ratio's, Top Flag Caps, Rocket Kills, Rocket Jumps, Frags on Cyborg Kamikaze / Plasma Bomb

The simplicity remains, but with a clear outline and what the numbers mean.
What should we expect from now on?
A complete revival of work on Weapons Factory Roblox, with a roadmap through the first half of Fiscal Year 2026.
Lots has changed in the Roblox Game Engine and my workflow documentation got erased (Thanks Atlassian).
Note to self, use Notion, not Atlassian products. I'll be ramping myself back up, with Bi-Weekly updates.
What's on the roadmap?
Game Loop with Map Rotation

Go through teleport into a room separated by a line to choose red or blue.
Countdowns to start, allowing people to leave.
5v5 or 6v6 is ideal.
Allow random joins on existing game or not, when starting.

Development has officially resumed full force. Weapons Factory is no longer on hold. The goal is now simple:
Get to Alpha. Testable, playable, gritty, fun. Not feature-complete—but undeniably Weapons Factory.
